After the Greeks, the Romans developed a lot of medicine. For example the grafts.
Some doctors were already specialized (eyes, surgery)
III) Architecture:
The Romans are very good in architecture and Arts. The rich Romans live in a big house called a villa. One part is for the gardens and stables and one for the habitat.

The city: the road was repaired by slaves. They were watched over by a civil engineer. They are paved with big flat stones, and have large stepping stones so that people can keep their feet out of the garbage that is thrown from the houses.

The Roman armies were far away from Rome, in countries the Romans wanted to conquer.
The Roman army was well organized, and Roman soldiers were well trained.

They had to make a camp every night.
V) Government:
Rome was a democracy with deputies and senators. But the imperor was very powerful.
VI) Entertainment
In the huge arena called the Colosseum, there were all kinds of events which people came to see.There is room for about 50,000 people to sit around the arena.
There were fights between specially trained men called GLADIATORS !
Sometimes the Emperor came to watch the games. He had a special seat next to the arena.
